ANSI/ASME B73.1 · parts-interchangeable with the Goulds 3196
Goulds 3196 interchangeable shafts: Summit 2196, Griswold 811 and PumpWorks PWA
Summit 2196, Griswold 811 and PumpWorks PWA are built to take Goulds 3196 power-end parts. Each of their 12 frames maps to a 3196 frame below, with the bearings and journals that make the shafts the same part.
Three makers sell ANSI B73.1 pumps whose power ends are parts-interchangeable with the Goulds 3196, under their own frame names: Summit 2196 (STO, MTO, LTO and XLO); Griswold 811 (811S, 811M, 811L and 811XL); PumpWorks PWA (STi, MTi, LTi and XLTi). Their replacement shafts are therefore the 3196 shaft, and the catalog part for each is the matching Goulds frame carrying the other maker’s name.
The evidence is the bearings. The Summit 2196 manual lists the same radial bearings as the Goulds i-FRAME IOM, 6207/6309/6311/6313, and the double-row thrust alternates Goulds lists for the same bores (3306/3309/3313, duplex 7310 on the LTO), bore for bore. The Griswold 811 and PumpWorks PWA manuals show the same arrangement, a single-row radial bearing inboard and the thrust bearing outboard, and both pumps are sold as parts-interchangeable with the 3196.
None of the three covers the X17; the interchange frames map to the 3196 ST, MT, LT and XLT. Every value below is published Goulds 3196 data carried onto the interchange part, and every dimension stays editable in the configurator.

Ordering an interchange shaft
Pick the card for your pump’s own name and frame; the geometry is the 3196’s, and the drawing title block stamps the frame you chose so the match is visible on the print. If the old bearings read 6207/7306, 6309/7309, 6311/7310 and 6313/7313, the frame is ST, MT, LT and XLT respectively. The threaded impeller nose on the catalog part is representative.
